AT&T is letting the public know that they got hack.

Hackers had gained access of phone calls and text messages to nearly all of their customers for a six month period of time. The time period was between May 1, 2022 to October 31, 2022.

AT&T released a statement that said the compromised data doesn’t include the content of the phone calls or text message. They also stated that personal information such as Social Security numbers, birth dates, or other personally identifiable information.

On January 1, 2023, the hackers regained access to AT&T records, however, it only was for a small amount of customers.

Investigators said that the information they pertained would have most likely have been shared onto the dark web.

AT&T said that they are going to alert the users that were affected. Customers could also request a report to see if their records were affected.
