Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, NJ has recently just added a new chaperone policy for children 15 years old and younger.
The new policy for the park states that children 15 years old or younger must be accompanied by a person who is 21 years or older. The chaperone must stay in the park with the children at all times. This will be in effect starting September 7th.
The reason that Six Flags is implementing the new policy is for preventive measures. Due to the increasing incidents of unruly and inappropriate behavior, the company thought it would be the best thing to do.
Chaperones are required to provide valid government identification when entering the park. The chaperones are also only allowed to accompany no more than 10 children per day. They must stay with the children while at the park and be available via phone throughout their stay.
If kids under 15 decide to enter the park without an adult, they will be ejected and will not get a refund.
If the children are anywhere between 16 and 20 years old, they are also required to show proof of identification that has their birth date.
