Top 10 NFL Week 9 Takeaways

Chiefs Remain the Perfect Hunters

In a thrilling matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Chiefs RB Kareem Hunt closed the book on an upset with an overtime touchdown to win the game and remain undefeated

Saquan ‘Doin the Butt’ Barkley

Barkley had the most impressive run in week 9, and could be a contender for highlight of the year. Barkley evaded a defender with a spin move then after being unable to fully gather himself, leaped and hurdled a defender backwards to cap off on of the most entertaining plays of the year!

Garret ‘Air’ Wilson

Another play of the year candidate saw Garrett Wilson make a one-armed touchdown grab in the Jets 21-13 win over the Texans. What was unique about this grab was that Wilson looked like Michael Jordan himself, making a split screen comparison to the jump man logo, it looked eerily similar. Adidas, the company Wilson is a signature athlete for, express that the catch was cool, but he isn’t going anywhere near the Jordan brand.

Bye-Bye Dennis the Menace

After losing a must-win game against one of the worst teams in the league, the Saints have decided to part ways with Saints head coach Dennis Allen. Questionable play calling as well as a 6-game losing streak could be attributed to what led to his firing.

Bills Beat the Dolphins, What Else is New?

Josh Allen has a record of 12-2 against the Dolphins in his career. Allen has a passer rating of 108.8 with 3,737 yards, 37 touchdowns. It was just another day at the office for Mr. Allen

Bears Can’t Survive in the Desert

The Arizona Cardinals held the bears scoreless in the second half of their 29-9 victory over Chicago. James Connor carried the offense on a 100-yard rushing day.

Ravens Roll over Broncos

The Baltimore Ravens steamrolled over the Denver Broncos in typical fashion. Lamar Jackson led the way with 280 yards and three touchdowns on a 84% pass completion percentage. Derrick Henry’s contributions cannot go unnoticed, rushing for yet another 100-yard, two touchdown game to now make it 100 career rushing touchdowns for the King.

Commanding Control of the NFC East

As the Washington Commanders took care of the NY Giants in a 27-22 victory, the Commanders now sit atop of the NFC East with a pretty 7-2 record. The are scheduled to play the Eagles and Cowboys back to back in weeks 12 and 13. Let’s see if they are sitting pretty at the end of the month.

Taking Charge in Cleveland

Justin Herbert and the Los Angeles Chargers came into Huntington Bank Field and took control of the entire game. Herbert exploded for 282 yards and two touchdowns; while RB J.K. Dobbins got it done on the ground, rushing for touchdowns as well.

“Dude, we f***** suck”

After dropping another must win game, the Cowboys now drop to 3-5 on the year. Dak Prescott can be seen on the sideline mouthing to himself “Damn, we suck”, after putting on such an underwhelming performance.
