Thousands of union workers still clocked into work today as SEPTA negotiations continue with the transit agency.
The reason for the strike being lined up for today (11/8) was due to contracts of union employees expiring yesterday (11/7) at midnight. Members stated that progress was being made within the negotiation progress. Members will also continue to work as the talk continues.
The bargaining will resume Friday afternoon, as the union looks for a raise and more security measures on the job. This means as of now, there will not be a strike and SEPTA services will continue to operate on normal schedule.
