Drake's Till Death Do Us Part Rap Battle Event

One lucky Drake fan is in line to receive $10,000 to for being his doppelgänger.

Casusal Cakery in hosted a Drake themed party in a Toronto Bar that featured a Drake look alike contest.  Word got around and the certified lover boy himself reached out to the creators of the event to up the incentive.

“I’m adding 10 bands to the look alike contest” Drake wrote to Casusal Cakery. “As the main prize”.

Drake fans packed Apt. 200 on Queen Street in Toronto. A group of roughly 20 Drake doppelgängers traveled from near and far to sang along to the rapper’s catalogue and win some cash while doing it.

John Puente, 27, travelled from New York City to compete. Puente said he felt good about his odds going in.

“I think I have pretty high chances,” Puente told the Toronto Star. “Anything can happen, but I think my chances are pretty high of taking a victory.”

Despite murmuring speculation from some participants and attendees that he would make an appearance, Drake did not appear at the event.

That did not stop a Toronto turn-up, as Drake Lovers and look alikes crowded around and danced the night away. They eventually formed a runaway for contestants to showcase their creativity.

Contestants featured various versions Drake, including: “Certified Lover Boy Drake”,  “Montreal Drake,” the “Stylish Drake,” “Pigtails Drake”, and even “Her Loss” drake,

Toronto’s Makayla Chambers, aka “Pigtails Drake” walked away the winner, as stole the show as one of only two female finalists. Chambers would sport a drawn-on beard, pigtails and a baggy fleece jacket.

“It feels great,” Chambers, 21, told the Star. “It feels like I made it.”

There has been no report that Chambers has received payment from Drake as of yet.
