A Delaware man is being accused of a multiple cases of sexual abuse with different children spanning over a 50-year period.

77 year-old Robert O’Boyle, of Frankford, was accused of sexual misconduct  by six victims.

While only two off the accusations have been approved cases, the other allegations may go unheard, as the statue of limitations had expired on four of the victims claims.

The charges were issued after a fourth-month-long investigation by police in Upper Chichester, Pennsylvania.

What is the statute of limitations in Pennsylvania for sexual assault?

In Pennsylvania, a person who has suffered child sexual abuse typically has until age 30 to file a civil suit against the liable parties. For adult rape or sexual assault civil suits, a person has two years from the date of injury to file. You have until age 50 to file criminal charges against the offender.

No public statements have yet to be released from any of the victims.

O’Boyle is currently in custody in Delaware pending extradition to Pennsylvania.
