Kendrick Lamar is now a 22-time Grammy Award winner and he has added more under his belt after this past Sunday.
Lamar’s “Not Like Us” won in best rap song, best rap performance and best music video categories during the 2025 Grammy Premiere Ceremony ahead of Sunday nights telecast. With his 20th win, Kendrick becomes the third rapper ever to have 20 plus Grammy wins. He is joined by rappers Jay-Z and Kanye West. After this Grammys, Lamar has had 57 Grammy nominations and 22 wins throughout his career.
The song “Not Like Us” that Lamar is getting such praise for comes from the heated, longstanding rap battle between him and Drake. Critics claimed Lamar victorious after the success of the Grammy winning dis track and his explosive “The Pop Out” concert on Juneteenth in Los Angeles. Kendrick Lamar takes a secret dig at Drake by wearing a Canadian tuxedo at the Grammy’s.
His Grammy wins are not the stop of Lamars wins. In the fall, it was announced that Kendrick Lamar will be the performer at the 59th Super Bowl Halftime show. Lamar also announced his upcoming tour with his new album and adding SZA to the tour lineup.
