It’s apparent that Howie Roseman, Executive VP of the Philadelphia Eagles, is looking to focus on developing the young talent on the roster in order to save space in the budget.
“As the cap gets tighter, as all our expensive players start becoming expensive, you have to go with young players,” Roseman said.
Bradberry spoke to the media on the time he spent in Philadelphia, crediting the organization and fanbase being the greatest he’s ever been apart of.
“I’m glad I got to experience the Philadelphia Eagles fanbase,” Bradberry said on locker cleanout day, a few days after the Super Bowl. “Greatest fanbase in the world.
“I’m glad I got to experience the highs and the lows of being a part of the Philadelphia Eagles. And I’m gonna always cherish these moments that I have. I’m just thankful that it ended with a Super Bowl ring.”

Bradberry, 31, suffered a torn Achilles in practice during the preseason last year and did not play at all in 2024. Bradberry has recently said that he’s recovered and wants to play cornerback in 2025.
According to NBC Sports Philadelphia, he will be designated as a post-June 1 release, which will save the club $2.1 million against the cap in 2025.
NFL rules limit teams to two June 1 cuts per offseason. Since Slay and Bradberry were both released with a June 1 designation, the Eagles can’t use that mechanism again this year.
