Sean “Diddy” Combs’ federal sex trafficking trial, set to begin May 12, has encountered a significant hurdle. Prosecutors have lost contact with a crucial witness, referred to as “Victim-3,” who was expected to testify about decades of alleged sexual exploitation by Combs. Her absence could weaken the prosecution’s case, which also includes testimony from Combs’ ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, and three Jane Does.

Victim-3 had recently indicated a willingness to reveal her identity in court, but now prosecutors are struggling to reach her attorney, citing personal issues. Her disappearance raises concerns about witness intimidation, especially given Combs’ prior alleged attempts to influence witnesses from jail.

Combs, who has pleaded not guilty, faces charges including sex trafficking, racketeering, and transporting individuals for prostitution. He has been held without bail since his September 2024 arrest due to concerns over potential witness tampering. If convicted, he could face life imprisonment.

As the trial approaches, the prosecution is under pressure to locate Victim-3 and ensure her testimony is heard. The outcome of this case could have significant implications for both Combs and the broader conversation around celebrity influence and accountability.
